Salvatore and Vita DiCarlo were married in January of 1976 in St Louis, MO and shortly after moved to Virden and opened DiCarlo’s Pizza in March of ‘76. Vita’s family started the family pizza operations in southern Illinois and shared their techniques with Sal and Vita who then formed their own techniques that have been enjoyed now, by many, for over 47 years.
DiCarlo’s family recipes are made fresh daily, including our pizza dough, thick crust pan pizzas, pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce and Alfredo sauce.
DiCarlo’s is a place where you gather with friends and family. It’s a traditional Friday night takeout or Wednesday night buffet with friends or Saturday night after church dinner with the family.
